Lenny Kravitz, Cranberries to tour Oz
AMERICAN rocker Lenny Kravitz announced his first Australian tour in 18 years today.
Touring the country in March next year, Kravitz will be joined by Irish chart-toppers The Cranberries and Aussie rockers Wolfmother.
"I am excited to return to Australia after so many years away," Kravitz said in a statement.
"It's going to be a great show and I cannot wait to see all my fans there. We are going to bring it!"
In addition to playing Melbourne's Sidney Myer Music Bowl during the Australian Grand Prix weekend, Kravitz and his support acts will also play shows in Sydney, Wollongong, Perth and Brisbane's Riverstage on March 24.
The four-time Grammy winner has sold more than 35 million albums worldwide.
After an extended break, The Cranberries are back together and will release their first album in 10 years, Roses, on February 10, 2012.
The tour is the latest big-name support slot for Aussie rockers Wolfmother, who supported AC/DC on their Black Ice Tour last year.
Tickets go on sale at 9am on Monday, November 21 through Ticketek.
