VIDEO: Police declare eight-hour Silkstone siege over
UPDATE 8AM: After eight hours of negotiations Queensland Police declared the public emergency in Silkstone was over.
The declaration was revoked at 2.25am.
"Police would like to thank members of the public for their cooperation and understanding during the incident," a spokesman said.

UPDATE 10PM: A police negotiator is speaking to a man barricaded inside a home at Silkstone.
Glebe Rd is blocked between Dorothy St and Alice St as officers keep watch on a home across from the Yard on Glebe Cafe.
Outside the police exclusion zone neighbours are waiting patiently in the cold while officers negotiate with the man.
People living in the area have told of the terrifying moment police knocked on their doors and told them to leave.
"I live right in the middle across from where it's happening," Jesse Castledine wrote on Facebook.
"(I) had to get a police escort into my house to get my daughter's medication.
"They wouldn't even let me stay at home."
EARLIER: A man remains barricaded inside a home at Silkstone.
Two hours into the incident, Queensland Police are still negotiating with the man.
An ambulance officer wearing what is believed to be a bullet-proof vest was standing outside the home, along with heavily-armed police.
Neighbours evacuated from the area are waiting with police while the situation is resolved.

EARLIER: Residents have been evacuated and people are being asked to avoid the area after Queensland Police declared a public emergency in Ipswich.
Police made a PSPA emergency declaration for the area bounded by Chillcot St, Margaret St, Glebe Rd and Dorothy St at Silkstone.
Police are responding to the incident and no other information is available.
Residents were evacuated from their homes by police and are now standing on streets.
Several emergency vehicles and the PolAir Helicopter has responded to the incident.
Police are asking people to avoid the area.
